Our mission is to build a strong community of families united together to empower the next generation of American children with the necessary knowledge to succeed in our ever-changing world. We aim to provide our Coop kids with an individualized, hands on enrichment program that places value on sustainable agriculture, entrepreneurship, life skills and hard work in addition to core academics.

In 2020, a small group of parents created an entire new infrastructure of education, to provide not only an extraordinary place for our children to learn a variety of subjects, but also where families find community. Since our inception, the program has seen a 155% increase in enrollment and continues to grow.

Our model is unique, in that the Coop operates as a non-profit organization, Fountainhead Farms. The program has monthly dues that can be subsidized through a family’s charter school funds. While the Coop as whole is not a charter school vendor, several cultivators are vendors, which allows for a more affordable approach to an enriching education.

Our vendor cultivators are partnered with the following charter schools:

South Sutter, Clarksville, Feather River Cottonwood, Sutter Peak and Harvest Ridge

What makes The Coop different:

  • Parents are intimately involved in their children’s education with support from expert cultivators’ instruction. Rotating parent volunteers are on campus each day, to support playground management during recess/lunch.

  • Class sizes are capped at 12, allowing for more one-on-one support and instruction.

  • The Coop does not meet on Fridays, and instead offers optional field trips for the community to enjoy.

  • The day begins at 8:45am and ends at 2pm, allowing KIDS more TIME to be KIDS. There is no added fluff, no busy work, just learning and playing in an intentional way.

  • Coop kids get their hands dirty – through agriculture, science experiments and geography exploration. We offer a rich academic immersion.

  • Coop kids attend classes based on their abilities – not age.

  • Freedom to Learn, Freedom to Choose

The Coop community is built on the foundation that parents have the freedom to choose what’s best for their child's education. Freedom loving communities, like the Coop are rare, important to protect and a breath of fresh air.

  • Empower the Next Generation

A one-size fits all educational model leaves children woefully unprepared for the real world and uninspired – and we are happy to break that model. Entrepreneurship, sustainable agriculture and life skills adds to our robust core academic foundation to foster each Coop kid’s strengths, interests and passions.

  • Strength in the Coop Community

The Coop is a community of like-minded families committed to raising capable, confident kids who value freedom, hard work and educational curiosity. We have established a culture that is playful, generous and relentless in the pursuit of educating our children in the best way possible.

  • Character Building

We teach high behavioral standards that ensure Coop kids can learn and play in a safe environment. Coop kids practice R.O.C.K.S. throughout the day - being respectful, obedient, calm, kind and a servant-leader.
